We have spacious digitized classrooms with 6 x 4 feet specially designed smart boards. Each class accommodating between 30 to 40 number of students.
The DGHS library has been designed to provide students with a quiet and purposeful atmosphere for study and intellectually creative thought. The Library aims to support the educational aims of the school by making the library central and integral to the independent learning processes within the school and provide a service which will enable students to become more responsible for their own learning and prepare for university by helping them develop their research and study skills.
The school has well equipped facilities to teach the three separate sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The school has Labs for all the science streams (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in the Higher Secondary School and a General Science Lab for High School students.
DGHS believes in providing the best possible opportunities to its students as well as faculty to ensure consistent eminence. IT infrastructure includes a computer laboratory and smart classroom each equipped with advanced technologies.
The school has acres of pitches as well as multiple volleyball, basketball and badminton courts. And well maintained gym and sports equipments.
23 Aug 1970 - Foundation stone laid by Mr.Ra.Nedunchezian (then TN Educational Minister) to start main building construction.
21 Sep 1975 - Main building inaugurated grandly by Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi (then TN Chief Minister).
1983 - Science Lab inaugurated by Mr.P. T. R. Palanivel Rajan (Veteran politician and 3 times MLA).
2003 - 2004 - 3 additional classrooms, Sports room, library and toilets had been constructed and was inaugurated by Mr. M. Balachandran I.P.S. (then Inspector General of Police).
2010 - Art gallery sponsored by Devangar Educational Association had been constructed and inaugurated.
2018-2019 - 2 additional classrooms had been constructed and inaugurated.
2019-2020 Gnana Vinayagar and Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar temples had been built inside campus and inaugurated.

Considers going to classroom as going to a park. In that park, she sees students in full bloom as colorful flowers, as every student’s ability and uniqueness varies.
Teaching Process: She discovers different abilities of students and starts teaching process according to their functioning, enhancing their interests. Then they crawl around the world and look around. While students gets mesmerized by the historical highlights and starts surfing with their friends in an ocean of pleasure, mentioning current affairs mixed with humor she implants core subject. By then students' comprehensive ability would be so wonderful that she easily compiles syllabus and explain to them.
